That the Nissan Silvia existed before the S13, and it was glorious.

Kinja'd!!!

This would have been perfect if the wheel arches were a little bigger.

They were really going for american styling back then, so skirted rear wheels was a definite thing.

Well what I mean is that the proportions in the rear end seem a little off to me, something that would be remedied with either a shorter tail of larger wheel arches.

So fucking beautiful. I see no problem with this.

They are off, mostly because while Nissan was trying to copy american styling, they were still bound by short wheelbase and dimension laws in Japan, since they tax based on the physical size of the car, not just its "class".

I love the Silvia. Especially the S10 model from the '70s.

Kinja'd!!!

However, if you're going to call any Nissan "glorious," you MUST remember the Gloria. Which preceded the Silvia and the S13. The name ran from 1959-2004.

I don't care, I like lightly stretched tires. I think it looks classy as fuck.

Such 1980s... Weird part is, I had a Mistubishi Galant that had these exact same wheels. I guess it was a generic wheel that was optioned by multiple manufacturers?

Intercooler inlet?

Nope, just for show. The RS-X had an FJ20ET, with no intercooler.

Kinja'd!!!

It was the highest spec non-US Silvia, as the US got one with a 3.0l VG30E V6 that wasn't sold in Japan. While the V6 only made 160HP (compared to the turbo models 170-190 HP), a manifold and turbo swap from the also non-intercooled 300ZX turbo, european 300ZX cams, and an Intercooler off an S13 is all that's necessary to make the ~2600lb Silvia S12 make 300HP.
